DNR Looks for Conservation Interns to Help Inspect for Invasive Species

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is on the lookout for watercraft inspectors. The internship will last during the duration of the 2016 boating season, the agency announced.

Inspectors will work at access points on lakes and rivers that have invasive species infestations. These foreign species of aquatic organisms include Eurasian watermilfoil and zebra mussels (most common).

A DNR program coordinator said the internship is an opportunity to get experience doing real world conservation work in Minnesota.

After New Year, You Can't Register Vehicles Without Insurance

Per Minnesota State Statute 169.798 Subd. 4, effective January 1, 2016 insurance information must be provided at the time of registration renewal (vehicle tabs), title transfer, or application for new Minnesota title/registration. Proof of insurance includes insurance company name, policy number, and policy expiration date. Vehicle owners will not be allowed to renew their vehicle registration without providing the required information. Young Teddy Bridgewater made a career-high after passing for four touchdowns. Attempting to throw for five, he instead ran the ball to the end zone, showing the NFL and fans that his skills are only growing better and more mature. The game took place Sunday at the University of Minnesota TCF Stadium in Minneapolis. Bridgewater's record during the game was amazing. He made 17 of 20 complete passes, totaling 231 yards.

DNR Announces Candlelight Trails at Minnesota State Parks This Year Starting End of December
